Capilyst started with a familiar finance moment: the numbers were available, but the answer was still hard to find. The latest forecast was in one file, actuals came from another system, explanations were buried in emails, and the report still had to be rebuilt by hand before anyone could make a decision.

We kept seeing the same pattern. Finance teams were not struggling because they lacked data. They were struggling because the work around the data was scattered. A number changed, but the reason lived somewhere else. A forecast was updated, but the assumption was not captured. A decision was made, but the follow-up disappeared into the next meeting.

That became the starting point for Capilyst. We started the company in autumn 2025 to give finance teams one structured way to run recurring work: collect inputs, update forecasts, review actuals, explain changes and produce reports without rebuilding the process every cycle.

Our long-term vision is to build Capilyst into a Financial Intelligence Platform. Not just a place for financial numbers, but a place where the company's financial thinking accumulates over time: what changed, why it changed, what was decided, who owned it and what happened next.
